So the Country Music Hall of Fame was great! I wish I had went without kids though so that I could read and learn more. lol. Museums are wasted with kids. But it was really cool and I took a lot of pictures of what i wanted to read so that I can read it all now.
We also got to go to the Grand Ole Opry. I have wanted to go since i was a kid. Like forever. I was in AWE!!!! It was late and I was tired but it blew my mind!! We went to a hymn sing and it was part of a music conference. The audience all knew their parts to all of the hymns and that room sounded like Heaven, it was glorious!!
So we are picky about hotels.
Let me just say that we LOVE Embassy Suites hotels. It’s always easy.
Our room was very clean, I love that you can wear white socks that stay white. (Yes we have been in hotels with very gross carpet. Clearly.)
In the evening they have free drinks at the bar. Not every drink is free but my Stella beer was so that was a big win. They also have chips and salsa out for free and usually fruit too! We got full on that. We skipped the pool this time because one kid had an ear infection but it was clean and nice and looked like it wanted us all to jump in. Instead we went up to the room. Watched cable and enjoyed a long hot hotel shower. For some reason that’s my fav.
The highlight of the trip is breakfast. The bacon is so darn good. They have the normal hotel stuff (toast, muffins, fruit) and then they have eggs, amazing potatoes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, and an awesome person that will custom make you omelette and pancakes if you want them. All included in the hotel cost.
My only complaint is the scrambled eggs are too wet for me. I like a well done scrambled egg.
All in all we have never been disappointed here. We have actually stayed at this one in Houston several times just to get away and relax.
